Leah

Leah was left tied to a pole near Landmark. She is an unexpected addition to our rescue but we welcome her with open arms. She is a small burst of energy and absolutely adores cuddling.

Leah gets attached quite quick and loves with all her heart, this sometimes gives her separation anxiety which is something we’ve been working on with her. She loves to explore and play her favorite game: fetch.

Leah would thrive in a home with kids older than 12 and has a dog or cat companion to keep her company.

Training & Exposure Leah has had:

  • Basic Cues: Sit, stay, “leave it”, “outside”, “inside”

  • Potty trained

  • Crate Training

  • Exposure to: cats, strangers, kids, cars, dogs

Things Leah needs to work on:

  • Reinforcing basic training

  • Resource guarding

  • Food aggression

Bite History & Reactivity:

  • No bite history

  • No reactivity however, will bark at a stranger at first but once she gets closer and gets to sniff them, she calms down (this only happens when at home)

Leah would love to finally find a home that can help her work through her anxiety and will add her to their family.
