Going on vacation?
Bon voyage! A family member or trusted friend is always best to leave your pets with. If not, then boarding or pet sitters are the best options for your pet. NEVER leave your pets with a stranger you find on social media. You are risking their wellbeing, as some people may steal or use them for breeding. Why risk it? We’ve listed below a couple of boarding places and pet sitters for your pet.

The Procedure:
Most countries, need a Rabies Titre test to confirm your pet’s vaccination and immunity. You will need to book a RATT test for your pet at least 3 months before! The only countries that do not require a RATT test are countries in the Gulf Council Cooperation (as we are in Qatar). Make sure your pet is microchipped!
Book your ticket and add your pet as excess baggage. Call the airline to confirm your pet onto the flight. This procedure is done for either in cabin or cargo. Please note that some countries only allow animals to fly via cargo.
Set an appointment with your vet for a check up to obtain a health certificate. Make sure that the Rabies vaccines are up to date and at least 30 days has passed since the last booster before traveling.
Obtain an export permit from the Ministry of Environment. Click here for the application. This costs 10 QR. This permit is only valid for 10 days.
** UPDATE: You must now visit the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to obtain the export permit.
Make sure your pet fits in their designated cage. Click here for those measurements and requirements!
